We are seeking a social-media native that deeply understands social content creation and production, specifically in terms of content that support audience expansion and engagement.
This internship offers hands-on experience in social media strategy, content creation, brand storytelling, executive thought leadership, public relations and digital engagement while working alongside marketing professionals in a collaborative environment. Through this internship, you’ll gain insight into how social media supports brand awareness and audience engagement, opportunities to develop skills in content planning, analytics, and campaign execution, and exposure to cross-functional marketing and communications initiatives.
Key Duties
Collaborate with marketing, communications, and brand partners to support day‑to‑day social media activities and campaign execution
Assist with the content creation, post-production, scheduling, and publishing of social media content across mainstream social platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook) as well as emerging platforms and content types
Social-media native, strong experience in content creation and production for individuals and/or brands including static image, video, audio and other media that can be purposed/re-purposed across social channels and social content types (videos, reels, etc.) to support platform/audience reach and expansion
Capture, create and curate compelling content for the brand and individual company spokespersons/executives
Support content ideation by researching trends, hashtags, and best practices relevant to target audiences
Draft engaging captions and copy that align with brand voice and messaging guidelines
Monitor social media channels and assist with community engagement, flagging comments, questions, or issues as needed
Assist with tracking social media metrics and compiling performance reports to evaluate engagement and effectiveness
Contribute to the creation of presentations and summaries that highlight campaign performance, insights, and recommendations
Requirements
Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program with a focus on marketing, communications, digital media, journalism, business, or a related field
3.0 overall GPA
Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
Creative mindset with the ability to generate engaging content ideas
Video and image capture, editing, and post-production
Demonstrated initiative both independently and within a team environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Familiarity with major social media platforms and trends (e.g., LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, )
Interest in social media, digital marketing, brand storytelling, and audience engagement
Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks
Authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future
Potential Projects
Assist with developing, organizing, and maintaining a social media content calendar
Capture, Create/Produce, Curate, Report on content campaigns for brand / individual executive leaders across social channels
Support campaign‑based content creation for key organizational initiatives
Analyze social media performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve reach and engagement
Research social media trends, audience insights, and best practices to inform content strategy

Work-at-home requirements
- Must have the ability to provide a non-cellular High Speed Internet Service such as Fiber, DSL, or cable Modems for a home office.
- A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 30x5 (30mpbs download x 5mpbs upload) is required.
- Latency (ping) response time lower than 80 ms
- Hotspots, satellite and wireless internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
- A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

G.E.H.A considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and business considerations when extending an offer.
The hiring range for this position is $43,160 - $54,600 USD. At G.E.H.A, the current maximum salary for this role is $60,840 USD.
