About this role
The Hanover Insurance Group is an insurance company committed to delivering on its promises and supporting its customers. The State Management Market Analyst Intern will support the Commercial Lines State Management Analytics team by developing business tools, analyzing and reporting data, communicating insights, and providing analytical support for business growth and customer needs.
What you'll do:
- Use analytical skills to develop and enhance unique propriety business tools that drive optimization and consolidation of agent partner business
- Collect, analyze, and report data to meet customer needs
- Assists in the developing tools, processes and reporting analytics in support of business growth and needs
- Communicate with customers, external partners and internal departments frequently
- Develop data and reports for field and customers to articulate value to agent partners and customers
- Provide accurate analytical support to team ensuring results are validated and accurate
- Summarize information and effectively communicate analyses in writing and verbally to internal partners
- Assist in various projects, meet deadlines, and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, ever-changing and evolving business environment
What they're looking for:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or advanced degree program
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Ability to commit to a full time 10-week internship program
- Ability to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
- Demonstrates initiative, creativity and analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Thinks critically and anticipates, recognizes, identifies, and develops solutions
- Self-motivated and organized
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Understands commonly employed techniques for quantitative analysis
- Able to work independently with guidance and direction as appropriate
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
