Intern Systems Engineer- (Onsite)

RTX is an aerospace and defense company developing mission-critical systems and communication solutions. The Intern Systems Engineer will support the development and delivery of tactical communication solutions for military platforms and strategic nuclear deterrence, while gaining experience with systems engineering processes, modeling tools, integration, and testing.

What you'll do:

• Perform in a cross-functional agile team
• Work in close coordination with a mentor using Collins Aerospace engineering processes
• Creation, decomposition, and tracing requirements for communications systems on military platforms, both air and ground applications
• Work with a model-based systems engineering application to create logical and physical design diagrams
• Perform integration and testing for these communications solutions

What they're looking for:

• Requires active pursuit of a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
• Familiarity with RTX systems, processes, and tools
• Experience in systems engineering to include capturing customer requirements, operations concept development, or deriving and tracing system and sub-system requirements
• Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering concepts and tools such as Magic Draw Cameo, Enterprise Architect, or similar resources using SysML
• Experience working in an Agile environment and being part of highly integrated Agile teams working closely with multiple engineering development teams (SW, HW, Cyber, or Sys)
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
