Intern - Tech Ops Analytics & Business Intelligence (Summer 2027)

United Airlines is a global airline providing air transportation and operating a Technical Operations organization supporting aircraft maintenance and fleet readiness. The Intern will analyze data, develop insights, and create quantitative solutions to support business decisions and improve maintenance planning, supply chain, aircraft engineering, maintenance execution, and maintenance programs.

What you'll do:

• Turn data into information and information into insights to drive business decisions
• Partner with business experts to pursue analytical opportunities within maintenance planning, supply chain, aircraft engineering, maintenance execution, and maintenance programs, among other areas
• Work autonomously to learn from subject matter authorities, identify gaps in data, and generate quantitative solutions to problems

What they're looking for:

• Understanding of data visualization standard processes
• Intellectual curiosity for working with data
• Query, transform and model data in a quantitative analysis software package or language (SQL, Python, etc.)
• Visualize data relevantly to tell a story
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
• Experience with PowerBI or other data visualization tools
• Excellent communication and presentation skills · Comfort with ambiguity
