Intern - Tech Ops Strategy & Performance (Summer 2027)

United Airlines operates an airline and technical operations organization supporting aircraft maintenance, infrastructure, and fleet readiness. The Tech Ops Strategy & Performance Intern will provide analytical insights, research maintenance strategy improvements, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and support systemwide infrastructure projects.

What you'll do:

• Provide analytical insights to create and drive United’s line maintenance footprint strategy
• Research elements of TechOps reliability, productivity, and efficiency to identify areas of opportunity for refinement and improvement of the global line maintenance strategy
• Collaborate with cross-functional TechOps and airline teams to implement strategic direction of the maintenance footprint
• Support strategic execution of TechOps systemwide infrastructure projects

What they're looking for:

• Must have a minimum of 12 semester hours in core degree course work
• Individual should be a rising sophomore (at least) when internship begins
• Must be available for 10-12 weeks during Summer 2027
• Work related travel may be required, individuals must be able to travel without any restrictions, including internationally
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship now or at any point in the future
• Demonstrated understanding of the capabilities and limitations of generative AI tools and the ability to leverage AI effectively to support  research, analysis, content creation, and problem-solving. Applies critical thinking to validate AI-generated outputs while adhering to organizational policies related to responsible AI use, data privacy, and security
