Intern, Technical Support (R&D Engineer)

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (OTS) is a global leader in the design, engineering and production of munitions and related systems. The Intern, Technical Support (R&D Engineer) will provide support to technical employees, assist with technical tasks, and learn technical processes while job shadowing experienced professionals.

What you'll do:

• Provides support to technical employees working in an organizational function related to the Intern's area of study
• Assists with technical tasks and project support
• Supports equipment set up and monitors tests and experiments
• Observes results, collects data, and compiles summaries and reports
• Learns technical processes and procedures
• Job shadows other more experienced professionals and or support staff
• May also support the documentation & updates of procedures or work instructions
• Handles basic issues and problems

What they're looking for:

• Must be currently enrolled in related Technical courses or be within 6 months of graduation
• No prior experience needed
• Must be enrolled in a technical college or degree-seeking program
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Oral and written communication skills
• Attentiveness
• Ability to understand and follow directions
