Intern - UX/UI Front End Engineer

## Job Responsibilities - Help maintain content on the Unifi documentation site (unifi.nelnet.io), primarily updating existing documentation to align with the current state of the design system. - Assist in converting design and accessibility guidelines content into machine-readable formats to support AI-assisted development workflows. - Perform front-end maintenance work on the documentation site (Angular). - Participate in code reviews and follow version control practices (Git). ## Education Actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. ## Experience - Coursework or personal project experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Angular required — this role involves maintenance work in an existing Angular codebase, not first exposure to the framework. - No professional/paid experience required. ## Competencies – Skills/Knowledge/Abilities - Working proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Angular. - Interest in developer experience, technical documentation, and AI-assisted tooling. - Familiarity with Git/GitHub. - Strong written communication skills. - Comfortable asking questions and receiving feedback. - Basic understanding of, or interest in, web accessibility (WCAG) a plus.
