Intern: Validation Engineering - Product Safety, Certification & Validation- (Onsite)

RTX, through Pratt & Whitney, designs, builds, and services advanced commercial and military aircraft engines while advancing aerospace and defense technologies. The Validation Engineering Intern will support product safety, certification, and validation by developing predictive and statistical models, analyzing engine validation data, creating dashboards, and communicating insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What you'll do:

• Responsibilities may include working on tasks related to commercial engines, military engines or both depending on business need. May be required to obtain a security clearance
• Develop, implement, and maintain predictive models to forecast risk factors in support of engine validation planning
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams of engineers and other stakeholders to define engine validation data requirements and analyze datasets
• Apply statistical models to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies in engine validation datasets to extract actionable insights
• Design and implement data visualization dashboards and reports to communicate findings effectively
• Develop and publish new knowledge assets within EKS (ESW, K-Packs, GB, training, etc.)
• Communicate results and insights to technical and non-technical audiences in a clear and concise manner

What they're looking for:

• Pursuing degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major
• Programming experience in Python, R, or similar languages
• Experience with data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques
• Experience in SQL and working with relational databases
• Experience with aircraft engine systems and validation processes
• Experience collaborating with a team to develop innovative ideas
• Experience communicating clear and effective messages to a broad audience
