Intern - Yield Enhancement, Data Analysis

Micron Technology is a world leader in memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence. The Data Analysis Engineering Intern will analyze semiconductor failure and yield data, develop machine-learning-based inline predictions of cell performance, and identify process anomalies and improvement opportunities. The role involves collaborating with process integration, process engineering, and data science teams to improve semiconductor process predictability and performance.

What you'll do:

• Review and analyze experimental data looking for device performance shift
• Possess a continuous improvement process (CIP) mentality, looking for ways to improve measurement accuracy and make a difference today!
• Recognize, identify, and raise awareness of process anomalies with the motivation of "who needs to know this now!"
• Use the data collected inline to drive process improvements
• Work with new detection tools and inspection strategies to localize and identify process issues with the mentality of "how can this improve this process?"
• Build and improve upon techniques and identify new creative and innovative ways to use existing tools in order to identify relevant process issues
• We expect active participation in technical meetings to identify new opportunities or novel sophisticated approaches

What they're looking for:

• Pursuing a Master or PhD Degree in Electrical Engineering, Material Science or related field
• Graduation date should not be prior to September 2027
• We need an intern drawn to creative problem solving and innovative solutions, especially in Leveraging Artificial Intelligence to drive insight into yield opportunities
• Proactive and passionate about learning (training and coursework)
• We need someone who will investigating process anomalies, root cause analysis, data manipulation, and correlations
• The shown ability to innovate and drive effective change in an energizing environment
• Excellent technical, communication, and analytical skills
