Internship, Accounting & Finance (Winter/Spring 2027)

Tesla is seeking an accounting and finance intern for the Winter/Spring 2027 term. The intern will support data management, project tracking, stakeholder communication, Excel-based reporting, and process improvement across accounting and finance operations.

What you'll do:

• Support the team with data management tasks involving large datasets related to accounting and financeoperations
• Help organize and track projects, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders via email, chat, and in-person meetings
• Assist in building and maintaining Excel-based reports, trackers, and dashboards
• Contribute creative ideas and solutions to improve team processes and workflows

What they're looking for:

• This position is expected to start January 2027 and continue through the entire Spring term (i.e., through April) or into early Summer 2027 if available
• We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time, for most internships
• If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school on your ability to work 40 hours per week before applying
• Again, please do not apply until you know you can work 40 hours per week. This is required for external applicants
• Many students will be limited to part-time during the academic year
• Currently pursuing a Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, or a related field
• Advanced Excel skill set
• Extremely detail orientated
• Strong communication skills
• Understanding of audit procedures, tax, and accounting principles
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment with tight timelines
