Internship – Accounting (Statutory Reporting)

American National Insurance Company is an insurance organization offering a summer internship program with hands-on corporate experience and professional development. The Accounting (Statutory Reporting) Intern will support financial close activities, reconciliations, data validation, statutory reporting, and accounting policy documentation.

What you'll do:

• Support month-end and quarter-end close activities
• Prepare and review account reconciliations
• Validate financial data for accuracy and completeness
• Assist with statutory reporting processes
• Help document accounting policies and procedures

What they're looking for:

• * Enrolled in an accredited college or university
• * Junior standing or higher by the start of the internship; May 2027 graduates are welcome
• * Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
• * Available to work 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday
• * Able to work onsite at the posted role location
• * Pursuing a degree in Accounting or a related field
• * Relevant accounting coursework
• * Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• * Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• * Effective communication and collaboration skills
• An optional extension to August 13th is available
