Internship - Applications Engineer

Infineon Technologies is a global leader in semiconductor solutions, driving innovation in power systems and IoT. They are seeking an Applications Engineer Intern to support customer collaboration, firmware development, and hardware integration for USB Type-C and Power Delivery solutions.

What you'll do:

• Support customers in designing USB Type-C and Power Delivery interfaces for their systems
• Assist in developing and customizing firmware to meet specific customer requirements
• Participate in debugging and validating customer hardware against Infineon firmware
• Perform hands-on testing and validation of Power Delivery controllers using lab equipment
• Contribute to writing application notes and creating reference designs for USB Type-C solutions
• Assist in training customers and field engineers on Infineon USB Type-C and Power Delivery solutions

What they're looking for:

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's program in Electrical or Electronic Engineering with relevant coursework
• Basic experience with firmware development in C and debugging tools
• Familiarity with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and protocol analyzers
• Understanding of serial interfaces like USB, I2C, UART, SPI; USB Type-C knowledge is a plus
• Basic knowledge of power circuits like DC-DC converters or LDOs
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset
