Internship, Commercial Charging Product Management, Energy Engineering (Winter/Spring 2027)

Tesla is seeking a Commercial Charging Product Management Intern to help bring impactful EV and robot charging solutions to market. The role involves defining technical and market requirements, conducting customer research, analyzing datasets, preparing launch materials, coordinating cross-functional teams, and presenting product tradeoffs to leadership.

What you'll do:

• Scope and document technical requirements for Commercial Charging products – Supercharger, AC Commercial Chargers & chargers for next gen Tesla products
• Prepare internal and external documents for product launch
• Organize/participate and lead internal demos of product features
• Work with Program and Product managers to track progress/highlight risks and help resolve them
• Collect primary and secondary customer research
• Analyze and derive actionable insights from tesla datasets
• Present business & engineering tradeoffs to leadership

What they're looking for:

• This position is expected to start January 2027 and continue through the entire Winter/Spring term (i.e through April/May 2026) or into Summer 2027 if available
• We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time (40 hours/week) and on-site, for most internships
• You must be able to work 40 hours per week
• Currently pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering or related field
• Ability to communicate problem statement and tradeoffs clearly
• Ability to query databases and pull together metrics and visualizations for analysis
• Background in energy or charging systems or UI design a plus
• User research or customer discovery analysis a plus
