Internship - Construction Accounting (Fall 2026)

BioMed Realty is a leading provider of real estate solutions to the life science and technology industries. The Construction Accounting Intern will support the accounting team in tracking, analyzing, and reconciling financial activity related to construction projects, gaining hands-on experience and exposure to the full construction accounting lifecycle.

What you'll do:

• Assist in preparing and posting journal entries related to construction accounting activities
• Support the review and processing of construction invoices, budgets, and contracts
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis
• Contribute to month-end close activities, including reporting and documentation
• Collaborate with accounting team members across experience levels
• Research and evaluate emerging A.I. tools for accounting related functions. Collaborate with cross‑functional team members to identify opportunities for A.I. usage and adoption

• Pursuing a degree with a major or minor in Accounting
• Interested in real estate, construction, or project-based accounting
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills
• Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Available to work up to 20 hours per week during the academic year
