Internship - Human Resources

H-E-B is an independently owned food retailer operating stores throughout Texas and Mexico. The Human Resources Intern will spend 10 weeks exploring HR and the retail industry while supporting projects across benefits, HR generalist functions, talent acquisition, project management, talent development, instructional design, analytics, and compensation.

What you'll do:

• Our **Benefits**Partners work to provide plan members the Right Care, at the Right Time, and in the Right Place by developing comprehensive best-in-class benefit programs and building provider networks
• Our **HR Generalists** support our Corporate staff, and the majority of our Partners who work in Manufacturing-Warehousing-Transportation (MWT), and in our 420+ Stores. You’ll learn how we nurture our culture, develop skills to drive growth, and enable Partners to perform at their peak every day
• **Talent Acquisition (Recruiting) Partners** support ongoing talent needs by managing all aspects of candidate generation, to ensure we’re attracting and hiring top talent… and Great People—our strategic advantage!
• **Project Management Partners** support the way HR impacts Company business strategy, working with leadership to implement work design initiatives and improving organizational development
• **Talent Development Partners** develop our workforce—their motto is “Assess. Plan. Grow.”
• **Instructional Design Partners** contribute to company-wide learning endeavors—designing and delivering technical and non-technical training across H-E-B, and **Talent Development Analytics Partners** science up the numbers to provide Leadership with data to make informed, business-impacting decisions
• Finally, the **Compensation Team** combines the art and science of paying and rewarding our Partners according to H-E-B’s policy of putting People first, and they work hard to ensure all of us are compensated fairly and competitively
• Oversee a project and create a solution for a current business challenge – we see these solutions get implemented across the business every summer
• Receive ongoing coaching, mentoring and development that will help you develop skillsets for your future career
• Network with Senior Leaders and Partners across all divisions
• Serve Texans through community outreach opportunities
• Go behind-the-scenes to learn more about our supply chain, logistics and retail operation divisions

What they're looking for:

• Helping Texans is the H-E-B Way. Spend 10 weeks with us exploring the retail industry as an H-E-B Corporate Intern. Program dates will be from May 24th – July 30th**.**Interns will be required to be In Person out of our San Antonio offices
• Have a willingness to learn and Inquisitive nature
• Strong verbal / written communication and presentation skills
• Organization and time-management skills
• Professionalism and willingness to collaborate in a team environment
• The ability to manage multiple priorities, shift focus between tasks, and pay attention to details
• Have the drive to get things done
• Are currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program
• Must have reliable transportation or be open to using public transportation
• Must be available for the entire 10 weeks
• The availability to commit to full-time work in-person for the duration of the Internship, and work a varying work schedule, if required
