About this role

Tesla is seeking a Technical Project Manager Intern to support its Chassis Controls team. The role involves organizing proving ground testing, tracking and coordinating vehicles, managing fleet audits and retrofit programs, and coordinating parts and vehicle work schedules.

What you'll do:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to organize proving ground testing
  • Facilitate vehicle usage and tracking, as well as coordinate movement of vehicles
  • Support global engineering fleet audits, analyzing utilization and monitoring vehicle configuration representation
  • Coordinate retrofit programs to support new vehicle programs within Chassis Controls
  • Coordinate parts needed to fulfill open vehicle ticket requests
  • Coordinate scheduling of vehicle work

What they're looking for:

  • This position is expected to start January 2027 and continue through Spring term (ending approximately May 2027) or continuing into Summer 2027 if available and there is an opportunity to do so
  • We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time (40 hours/week) and on-site, for most internships
  • Our internship program is for students who are actively enrolled in an academic program
  • If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school on your ability to work 40 hours per week before applying
  • You must be able to work 40 hours per week on-site
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering or related field of study with a graduation date between May 2027 – May 2028
  • Demonstrated excellence in coordination with multiple cross functional teams
  • Knowledge of engineering fundamentals in mechanical, electrical or software engineering
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment on several different projects
  • Experience in parts management, logistics, supply chain or FSAE is a huge plus
