Investment Analyst Intern (Hybrid)

Intact Insurance U.S. provides specialty insurance solutions for businesses and is seeking an Investment Analyst Intern to join its Investment Management team. The intern will support the U.S. fixed income team through credit research, security valuation, financial modeling, market analysis, reporting, and risk management activities.

What you'll do:

• Perform credit analysis and security valuation
• Performing independent and directed data analysis across a variety of areas including economics, asset classes, industries and individual companies
• Build and maintain financial statement models
• Produce and develop reporting for the investment team
• Prepare materials for investment team and senior management
• Present to team, portfolio managers and senior management

What they're looking for:

• Finance, Economic, or Business degree (completed or in progress)
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel in particular)
• 0-1 years of relevant professional experience
• Passion for investments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong conviction
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
• Team player, highly collaborative and strong work ethic
• High ethical standards
• Experience with programming languages: VBA, Python
• Experience with SQL
