About this role
Indiana Public Retirement System (INPRS) is a public pension fund that manages member assets and serves retirement system members and employers. The Investment Analyst Intern will support the investment team with portfolio analysis, risk and performance research, investment manager evaluation, and special projects related to the investment program.
What you'll do:
- Conduct and complete special projects related to the ongoing development of the INPRS investment program
- Provide support in portfolio analysis
- Review portfolio risk / return profile and performance through research and analysis of portfolio strategies, securities holdings, and performance attribution analysis
- Assist in the research and evaluation of the manager universe to help identify candidates for inclusion in the strategic asset allocation

- Considerable skill in research and analysis of large amounts of information, performing analysis of the information
- Skill in prioritizing assignments to manage workload in a dynamic environment and in completing work with a high degree of detail and accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate project progress and final results to the investment team
- Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with co-workers, agency staff, and external contacts
- Considerable skill with the Microsoft Office Suite
- Working toward an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college or university
- Knowledge of basic investment concepts
- Knowledge of basic statistical concepts
- This position will require you to live in Indiana
- This position is not eligible for H-1B or any other kind of temporary or permanent sponsorship for work authorization by the Indiana Public Retirement System
- Related internship experience is desired, but not required
