About this role
Prospect Rock Partners is a leading global financial services firm seeking an Experienced Analyst to join their Energy and Midstream Investment Banking team in Houston, TX. The Analyst will support the execution of advisory and capital raising transactions, gaining experience in financial analysis and strategic advisory.
What you'll do:
- Support the execution of equity financings, M&A, and other strategic advisory transactions for energy and midstream clients
- Prepare pitch books, offering memoranda, management presentations, and other transaction marketing materials
- Perform detailed financial modeling and valuation analysis to support live transactions and pitches
- Conduct industry, company, and asset-level research across the energy and midstream value chain
- Participate in client meetings and investor presentations
- Support drafting sessions for underwriting and advisory engagements
- Conduct comprehensive industry, company, and transaction-specific due diligence
- Provide analytical and execution support to senior bankers and deal teams
What they're looking for:
- 1–2 years of investment banking experience
- Demonstrated experience supporting M&A, capital markets transactions, and strategic advisory assignments
- General knowledge of energy and midstream industry trends
- Financial modeling and valuation expertise
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Undergraduate or graduate coursework in a relevant field (engineering, energy, finance, or related) is a differentiating plus
- Energy and midstream experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of energy/midstream-specific frameworks preferred
- Series 63 and 79 licenses preferred
