Investment Banking Experienced Analyst | Consumer

Houlihan Lokey is a global investment bank providing strategic and financial advice across mergers and acquisitions, capital solutions, restructuring, and valuation advisory. The Investment Banking Experienced Analyst will support corporate finance engagements involving M&A, capital raising, and strategic advisory assignments by analyzing financial information, performing valuations, and preparing transaction marketing materials.

What you'll do:

• Prepare, analyze and explain financial information of a given company and related companies within the respective industry
• Perform valuations of companies using traditional valuation methodologies
• Prepare confidential offering memorandums, management presentations, buyers lists, marketing pitches, and assist in the marketing and planning of engagements

What they're looking for:

• The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 months of prior investment banking experience, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. While teamwork is essential to the firm's success, creativity, and new ideas are encouraged
• Undergraduate coursework in accounting and finance required
• One year of relevant work experience in similar roles within investment banking (M&A experience preferred, but not required)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical capabilities
• A fundamental understanding of valuation theory, methodologies, and applications
• Strong financial and computer skills (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
• Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with all levels of staff
