Investment Intern

Bolton is a full-service HR and benefits consulting firm whose Investment practice provides independent investment consulting and advisory services. The Investment Intern will support consulting teams with retirement plan financial reporting, investment manager research, client reports, analyses, proposals, meeting materials, and process improvement initiatives.

What you'll do:

• Support consultants on annual, quarterly, monthly standard and ad hoc client reports, projects, and analyses
• The main projects the candidate will be supporting are financial reporting for retirement plans and investment manager research
• Communicate and coordinate effectively with colleagues and clients regarding data collection and project tasks
• Create documents and materials for meetings based on standard formats
• Provide support to small & mid-market client consultants
• Assist in crafting proposals
• Develop a good working relationship with all levels of staff
• Increase efficiency by identifying ways to improve processes

What they're looking for:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• However, college students that are enrolled in a degree program related to Statistics & Actuarial Science, Business, or other quantitative and analytical discipline will also be considered
• The ideal candidate will be entering their junior or senior year of college or enrolled in a post-graduate degree program
• Flexibility and ability to work independently, diagnose and resolve issues, and meet client deadlines
• Great communication skills and presentations skills
• Experience working as part of a team, including extracurricular activities, clubs, sports teams, etc
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel is required
• INTERNSHIP: College students that are enrolled in a degree program related to Mathematics, Finance, and Economics are preferred
• Previous experience in an office setting is preferred
• Word and PowerPoint is also preferred
• May include local day travel and occasional conferences or training events
