IT Business Analyst (Entry Level, Insurance)

Torrent is hiring an entry-level IT Business Analyst to plan, develop, and implement technology- and process-based solutions. The role supports internal and external technology users, investigates system issues, and assists with requirements gathering, documentation, change management, and reporting.

What you'll do:

• Investigate, triage, diagnose, and help resolve system issues for internal and external clients, working with IT teams and suppliers as needed
• Provide ongoing support until tickets are fully resolved
• Analyze reported system issues to determine validity, severity, and how to reproduce them
• Assist Senior Analysts with business requirements, functional specifications, and system enhancement documentation
• Record changes made to existing systems and helps ensure support documentation is complete and maintained
• Support business and client needs and research, including escalating findings to the appropriate team member
• Assist senior staff with client and user requirements gathering, status reports, release notes, and task planning activities
• Follow change management processes, coordinates client-specific requests and resources, handles outage notifications, and supports weekly reporting of incoming, open, and closed issues

• Insurance industry experience
• In-depth flood underwriting knowledge
• ANFI certification
• Familiarity with SQL
