IT Cybersecurity Internship (Summer 2027)

East Penn Manufacturing Co. is a private, family-owned employer offering an IT Cyber Security Internship for Summer 2027. The intern will gain hands-on experience in threat detection, incident response, vulnerability assessments, security documentation, and cybersecurity awareness while supporting efforts to strengthen the organization’s cyber defenses.

What you'll do:

• Assist in monitoring network security and analyze security incidents
• Participate in vulnerability assessments and remediation
• Help maintain and improve the security posture of existing systems
• Support the creation and updating of security documentation and policies
• Conduct research on emerging security technologies and trends
• Engage in cybersecurity awareness training initiatives
• Collaborate with team members to respond to security alerts and incidents
• Perform other duties as required by management

What they're looking for:

• Pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
• Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols
• Understanding of basic security principles and practices
• Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.)
• Experience with security tools such as firewalls, antivirus, and SIEM
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Able to work full-time 40 hours per week during the summer (May-August), flexible schedule, and hourly pay
