IT Data Analytics Intern

## Basic Function HF Sinclair in Dallas, TX is looking for a Summer 2027 IT Data Analytics Intern, collaborating with cross-functional teams and vendors to drive innovation in data-driven decision making. You will gain hands-on experience in analytics, artificial intelligence, and automation, supporting real business challenges. ## Job Duties - Assist in designing and implementing data collection, analysis, and AI-driven processes. - Gather, clean, and analyze data from diverse sources to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights using advanced analytics and AI tools. - Support the development and deployment of machine learning models and AI solutions for business use cases. - Apply data analytics and AI techniques to conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses using tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, Alteryx, Snowflake, and Azure tools. - Prepare compelling data visualizations and reports to communicate findings and recommendations. - Collaborate with team members to provide analytical and AI support for ongoing projects. - Proactively manage tickets and tasks, ensuring timely follow-up and completion. - Participate in special assignments or projects involving AI, automation, and data science as assigned by your supervisor. ## Experience No prior experience required; exposure to AI, analytics, or programming is a plus. ## Education Level Currently enrolled in an Undergraduate or Master's Program for Computer Science or a related discipline is required. ## Required Skills - Familiarity with databases, data visualization, and AI/ML tools (e.g., Snowflake, Power BI, Azure AI, Python, etc.). - Strong interest in technology, artificial intelligence, and analytics. - Effective communication skills and a customer-centric approach. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. ## Work Conditions Office based.
