IT Intern

Heidelberg Materials North America is a major supplier of building materials operating across the United States and Canada. The IT Intern will support business process analysis, business application configuration and maintenance, requirements gathering, documentation, reporting, system testing, troubleshooting, and process improvement initiatives.

What you'll do:

• Support the analysis, documentation, and improvement of business processes and digital workflows
• Assist with configuring, testing, and maintaining business applications and systems
• Gather and organize business requirements from stakeholders across multiple functions
• Create and update system documentation, process maps, and user guides
• Support data collection, validation, reporting, and dashboard development efforts
• Participate in system testing, troubleshooting, and user acceptance activities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation
• Help monitor system performance and recommend enhancements that improve user experience and operational efficiency

• Currently pursuing a degree in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
• Demonstrated interest in digital technologies, business systems, and process improvement
• Ability to analyze information, identify trends, and solve problems effectively
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
