IT Security Analyst I

Autonomous Solutions, Inc. (ASI) is hiring an IT Security Analyst I to protect its people, endpoints, and data by strengthening security controls and identifying threats. The role manages endpoint hardening and security tools, reviews identity access, investigates phishing and suspicious activity, and develops runbooks and detections.

What you'll do:

• Apply and maintain CIS hardening baselines across Windows, macOS, and Linux devices
• Triage Microsoft Defender for Endpoint alerts and support attack surface reduction rollouts
• Track endpoint vulnerabilities and drive them to remediation
• Tune Microsoft Sentinel rules and incidents to cut false positives
• Run recurring identity and access reviews in Microsoft Entra ID
• Hunt threats with KQL and document new detection opportunities
• Investigate user-reported phishing and suspicious email
• Keep runbooks, procedures, and metrics current for every security workflow

What they're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 0-2 years in IT support, systems administration, or security operations; internships, home labs, and CTFs count
• Working knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux security fundamentals
• Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and networking basics
• Exposure to Microsoft Defender XDR, Sentinel, Intune, or comparable EDR and SIEM tools
• Some KQL, PowerShell, or Python, or a clear record of learning tools quickly
• Understanding of common attack techniques, phishing tactics, and MITRE ATT&CK
• Strong attention to detail and clear written communication
• Security+, CySA+, SC-200, or SC-900 certification
