IT Security & Risk Analyst I

Oceaneering is a global provider of engineered services and products serving offshore energy, defense, aerospace, and other industries. The IT Security & Risk Analyst I will implement and maintain security measures, monitor and assess threats and vulnerabilities, support incident response and disaster recovery, and promote compliance and security awareness.

What you'll do:

• Implement and manage security protocols and policies to safeguard our systems and data
• Monitor and analyze network traffic to detect and respond to potential security threats
• Conduct regular security audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements
• Collaborate with the IT team to develop and maintain disaster recovery plans
• Stay updated with the latest security trends, technologies, and best practices
• Provide technical support and guidance to end-users regarding security practices
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards
• Document and report security incidents, maintaining accurate records for audit purposes
• Assist in the investigation and resolution of security breaches and incidents
• Conduct user awareness training to promote a culture of security within the organization

What they're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, a related field, or equivalent experience
• 1+ years of experience in IT security or a similar role
• Basic knowledge of IT security, system management
• Proficiency in security tools and technologies, including SIEM and vulnerability scanning
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks
• Good understanding of industry standards and best practices, such as ISO 27001, RMF 800-53 Rev 5
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a team environment
• Certifications Security+ or ability to obtain within 6 months
• A proactive and detail-oriented approach to security management
• Experience with cloud security and managing security in cloud environments is an advantage
