Position Duties
Purpose of the Position: Under broad supervision, installs, configures, and supports a local area network, wide area network, internet system, computers, desktops and/or mobile devices. Performs necessary maintenance to support network availability. Under supervision, manage projects through the full life cycle from project definition through implementation and evaluation. This position works to promote and protect the health and safety of the residents of Cobb and Douglas Counties.
Essential Functions (include but are not limited to:
- Performs job responsibilities with minimal supervision
- Advises management on the technical feasibility and critical factors in the adaptation of automated systems to the service delivery
- Analyzes operations to determine business requirements and needs
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma/GED and two (2) years of experience at the lower level Systems Administrator 2 (ITP041) or position equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Supervises others in normal helpdesk activities that include support for local area network, wide area network, internet system, computers, desktops and/or mobile devices.
- Under supervision, manage projects through the full life cycle from project definition through implementation and evaluation.
- Manage internalprojects or sub-projects of larger projects in the Information Technology department.
- Serve as principal focal point for technology projects by coordinating and managing activities following widely recognized project management industry standards.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators for helpdesk and department staff.

Salary Information: $76,218.42 Annually / Pay Grade N
