Jr. Data Scientist (Temp)

ACTFORE provides AI/ML-powered data mining solutions for legal teams, insurers, and corporations responding to cyber incidents. The Jr. Data Scientist prepares, cleans, and validates structured and unstructured data, builds Python automation workflows, and helps improve data operations.

What you'll do:

• Build and maintain Python workflows for text and data processing
• Review and validate extracted data for accuracy
• Collaborate with data engineering and IT teams to ensure data is available and reliable
• Support improvements to data science workflows and best practices
• Document methods, assumptions, and limitations of data processes
• Monitor data quality and ensure integrity across sources

What they're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field
• Proficiency in Python is required to build and maintain workflows
• Strong MS Excel skills, including advanced formulas, functions, and macros
• Basic knowledge of SQL for data querying and manipulation
• Experience working with data analytics tools, including hands-on data cleaning, preprocessing, and feature engineering
• Knowledge of PII, PHI, GDPR, FERPA, or other data privacy regulations
• Exposure to AI, machine learning, or deep learning
• Experience with text processing or natural language processing
