About this role

Sparksoft Corporation is a technology company delivering IT solutions and services to government clients. The Jr Financial Analyst will participate in a two-year rotational program across four finance disciplines, supporting budgeting, forecasting, accounting, compliance, financial systems, and process automation using Microsoft Copilot and other tools.

What you'll do:

  • Rotate through Accounting, FP&A/Program Control, Pricing & Compliance, and Financial Systems on a 4-8 month cadence, building real expertise in each area
  • Partner with each team on budget development, financial forecasting, and estimate-at-completion (EAC) reporting
  • Contribute to month-end close activities, account reconciliations, and reporting accuracy reviews
  • Maintain funding records and support client status reports and ad-hoc financial analyses
  • Assist in preparing indirect rate workpapers and compliance documentation as assigned
  • Use Microsoft Copilot to spot automation opportunities and make routine finance workflows faster and smarter
  • Leverage Microsoft Excel and the company's ERP to support day-to-day financial operations
  • Stay organized and deliver quality work across multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment

What they're looking for:

  • Solid proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort across the Microsoft Office suite
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Copilot or similar AI productivity tools, with an interest in applying them to automate and improve financial processes
  • Sharp attention to detail and the communication skills to work effectively across teams
  • A genuine passion for finance and technology, and curiosity about how modern tools can change the way financial work gets done
  • Flexibility and confidence to adapt as you move between teams, systems, and priorities throughout the program
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field; an Associate's degree or equivalent work experience will be considered
  • 0-5 years of finance experience; internships and academic project work are welcome
  • Familiarity with additional AI tools or platforms beyond Microsoft Copilot, such as automation assistants, AI-driven analytics tools, or large language model applications
  • Experience with Unanet, Deltek, or a comparable financial ERP system
  • Background in a customer-facing or deadline-oriented professional environment

Benefits:

  • Competitive compensation and a 401(k) with employer contributions to help you plan for the future
  • Flexible paid time off and hybrid ways of working that support true work-life balance
  • Comprehensive health coverage—including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance
  • A curated in-office experience designed to foster community, team connections, and innovation
  • Opportunities to give back through Sparksoft Cares, including annual company-wide fundraising events
  • Training and development programs that build new skills and prepare you for leadership roles
  • A collaborative, transparent, and fun culture—recognized as a Great Place to Work®
