About this role

Entertainment Partners is committed to creating an inclusive and innovative environment. They are seeking a Junior Full Stack Engineer to contribute to building AI-powered products for the entertainment industry, focusing on feature development and personal growth within the technology organization.

What you'll do:

  • Implement well-scoped feature tickets across the frontend (React.js/TypeScript) and backend (Python/FastAPI) stack
  • Build UI components using React.js following established design system and component library conventions
  • Write backend logic and REST API endpoints in Python/FastAPI under the guidance of senior engineers
  • Connect frontend and backend layers; understand how data flows through EP's application architecture
  • Follow existing code patterns, style guides, and engineering standards
  • Write unit tests for your code; learn integration testing practices with support from senior teammates
  • Participate in code reviews — both receiving feedback on your own PRs and reviewing others' work as skill grows
  • Ask questions early and often; communicate blockers promptly to your Engineering Manager or tech lead
  • Actively participate in sprint ceremonies: standups, planning, retrospectives, and demos
  • Use EP's AI coding tools (Tabnine, Claude Code) to accelerate development and learn engineering patterns
  • Take ownership of your personal development plan in partnership with your Engineering Manager
  • Engage with EP's internal learning resources, architecture brown bags, and code pairing sessions

What they're looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent bootcamp/self-taught experience with demonstrated projects
  • 0–3 years of professional or internship software engineering experience
  • Working knowledge of Python or JavaScript/TypeScript; ability to read and contribute to code in both
  • Basic familiarity with React.js; understanding of components, props, and state
  • Understanding of REST APIs — what they are, how to consume them, and how to think about designing them
  • Experience with Git — branching, committing, opening PRs, and resolving conflicts
  • Ability to write basic SQL queries and understand relational database concepts
  • Strong curiosity, willingness to learn, and ability to receive and apply feedback constructively
  • Academic or personal project experience with FastAPI, Flask, or Django on the backend
  • Experience building UI projects with React.js (class projects, hackathons, or personal portfolio work)
  • Exposure to any cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP) through coursework or personal projects
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts or experience calling an LLM API in a project context

Benefits:

  • Health, Dental, and Vision options
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan and company match
  • Paid holidays, vacation time, and sick time
  • Participation in company equity plans
  • Employee Assistance Program, mental health and wellness programs
  • Training and development
  • Annual bonus and merit reviews
