Jr Software Development / Tech Support Engineer

TerraClear Inc applies artificial intelligence, robotics, and mechanical design to develop technologies that improve agricultural operations. The Jr Software Development / Tech Support Engineer will develop, debug, deploy, and support full-stack applications across web, mobile, and Linux platforms, including real-time mapping and image-processing solutions. The role also involves collaborating with product and engineering teams, maintaining dependencies, and delivering milestones in an Agile environment.

What you'll do:

• Build, debug and support real-time actionable mapping solutions that are highly reliable, innovative and high performance
• Support real-time in-field image edge processing
• Design, implement and deploy front-end elements, REST-based back-end services and database design schemas across TerraClear’s application stack
• Partner with Product Management and Software Engineering team members to review application functionality requirements and interface design
• Ensure our suite of applications remain current with major 3rd party dependency releases and current design / implementation practices
• Work in Agile environment to prioritize tasks and deliver technical milestones on schedule

What they're looking for:

• 1+ years of relevant work experience
• BS or MS in Software Engineering, CS (or related field) or commensurate work experience
• Knowledge of computer science fundamentals
• Knowledge of how to leverage GenAI tools to expedite the design, development and debugging of commercial quality software applications
• Knowledge of REST-based backend services
• Knowledge of Node JS, Angular/React JS/TypeScript
• Knowledge of MVC architecture
• Strong communication, positive attitude and excellent team player
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States for TerraClear without requiring employer sponsorship or an employer-filed immigration petition at any point during employment
• Knowledge of Linux operating system
• Work experience with a relational database, preferably PostgreSQL
• Exposure to AWS services such as Lambda/API Gateway/SQS
