About this role

Salary Range: $90,220 - $104,600

Serve as the working supervisor responsible for managing the day-to-day Task Order technical activities of the Operations Team supporting the Joint Systems Support Activity (JSSA) Integrated Product Team (IPT) Group.  The general scope of the position is to develop, lead, and mentor the team in order to provide the required support to the Government customer.

Essential Job Functions:

Manage all Task Order direct work, empowered to make immediate technical and staff allocation decisions necessary to ensure responsiveness to our Navy/Marine Corps customer.

Provide direct supervision of the assigned technical staff, hiring of staff members and the assignment of staff within the Operations Branch of the Task Order to meet tasking requirements.

Participate directly in leading and completing a wide range of AV-8B, T-45 or F-35 management tasks including: use of computer systems, databases, technical publications, engineering drawings, modification packages and processes using systems existing on-site; independent studies; data analysis, and reviewing team processes and products to ensure all work is consistent with TO objectives.

Serve in an advisory capacity to senior-level government and contractor policy-making personnel on engineering issues as related to providing technical and engineering support; to facilitate the investigation and analysis necessary to work through complex technical/management issues associated with weapons and systems integration work; to assist in identifying issues with potential programmatic impacts, and assist in the development of problem resolution strategies.

Coordinate with fellow managers in order to provide coordinated communications and seamless support for the customer across the DCS Team.

Required skills

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

BS/BA Degree and 6+ years of directly applicable experience, or 14+ years of directly applicable experience if candidate does not possess a BS/BA degree.

Candidate must be able to gain and maintain a DOD security clearance.

Team leadership experience.

Management experience dealing with technical laboratory and flight test operations requirements under time pressure in a fault-intolerant environment.

Familiar with the systems and the functionality of T-45 and F-35B.

Accustomed to interfacing with contractors and US Government personnel.

Desired Skills:

Completion of applicable DCS manager training.
