Junior Accountant

Goodwin builds technology for companies that sell private charter flights. The Junior Accountant will maintain financial records and support day-to-day accounting operations, including transaction recording, reconciliations, tax filings, accounts payable and receivable, and month-end close activities.

What you'll do:

• Record and categorize financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner
• Organize and maintain accounting records, financial documentation, and company files
• Perform reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to help ensure accurate financial reporting
• Assist with Federal Excise Tax (FET) filings and payment preparation
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other day-to-day accounting activities
• Help prepare information needed for month-end close and other recurring accounting processes
• Maintain accurate records within QuickBooks, Excel, and other financial systems
• Support special projects and other accounting initiatives as Goodwin continues to grow
• Maintain accurate financial records within QuickBooks, ERP systems, and Excel-based reporting
• Support month-end close activities and other operational accounting initiatives as the company grows

What they're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 1-3 years of bookkeeping, accounting, or operational accounting experience
• Experience working in a remote, fast-paced business environment where priorities shift quickly
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar platforms
• A proactive, results-driven mindset and willingness to take ownership of your work
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams
• Authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future
