Junior Accountant

The Junior Accountant performs basic accounting duties, including reconciling and maintaining accounting records, resolving ledger issues, supporting monthly close activities, and preparing financial reports in accordance with established policies and regulations.

What you'll do:

• Analyzes, reconciles, balances, and maintains accounting records in accordance with GAAP and other applicable laws and regulations
• Ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger
• Resolves general ledger/operational issues with other departments as necessary
• Compiles financial data to assist more senior accountants in ensuring a timely and accurate monthly close of the general ledger
• Reconciles member financial activity systems to the general ledger
• Handles operational aspects of certain member financial transaction types
• Prepares ATM and ITM operational reconciliations on a daily and monthly cadence and provides manager with additional feedback as needed
• Accurately and timely process return items and any other applicable transactions
• Assist in preparing various financial reports for management
• Utilize accounting system for reconciliations, document retention, and reporting
• Perform other duties as needed upon request by immediate supervisor

What they're looking for:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Minimum one year of accounting experience preferred
