Junior Data Analyst (W2, Remote)

CareTalk Health is a national virtual medical practice specializing in clinical process outsourcing and virtual healthcare delivery. The Junior Data Analyst will manage, analyze, and interpret healthcare data, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and develop insights, predictive models, and tools to improve decision-making and patient care.

What you'll do:

• Data Management: Collect, clean, and preprocess large datasets from various sources
• Analysis: Perform statistical analyses and generate actionable insights from healthcare data
• Visualization: Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate findings effectively
• Collaboration: Work with product, engineering, and clinical teams to define data requirements and deliver solutions
• Data Quality: Ensure accuracy, completeness, and integrity of data by implementing best practices for validation and maintenance
• Machine Learning (Developing): Develop and apply basic machine learning models to identify patterns and predict outcomes

What they're looking for:

• This role requires current, unrestricted authorization to work in the United States without any future need for employer-sponsored work authorization
• * Education: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
• * Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a data-focused role (internship experience included)
• * Proficiency in SQL and Python or R for data analysis
• * Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
• * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• * Basic understanding of statistical methods and predictive modeling
• * Knowledge of healthcare datasets or standards (e.g., FHIR, ICD-10) is a plus
• * Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn
• This is a remote U.S.-based position. Employees must perform all work physically within the United States. International work is not permitted during scheduled work hours
• This is a remote position and may be “on camera” at any time. This position will work from a home office, requiring reliable internet connectivity and a secure, private workspace
• + Windows or Apple (macOS) Computer ONLY (NO Chromebooks, Linux Machines, or Smartphones)
