Junior Data Scientist

LS Technologies provides engineering, technical, and professional services to Federal Government agencies. The Junior Data Scientist will support the Federal Aviation Administration through data collection, processing, management, analysis, and visualization, while developing reports, dashboards, and automated data workflows.

What you'll do:

• Collect, clean, store, analyze, and visualize data using tools such as Microsoft Power BI
• Support the automation of resident data collection through ETL processes
• Use Python and SQL to process data, perform queries, and ensure data accuracy and completeness
• Prepare data for integration with Microsoft Dataverse
• Maintain data infrastructure in accordance with data governance and security requirements
• Create reports and dashboards that support operational and strategic decision-making
• Communicate proactively with team members and stakeholders

What they're looking for:

• A successful candidate will have Bachelor's degree in physical sciences, computer engineering, information technology, computer science, or a related field
• Zero to two (0–2) years of experience in data analysis, data management, or a related area
• Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI through coursework, certification, or professional experience
• Basic knowledge of Python and SQL
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a matrix-managed environment
