Junior Financial Analyst

Castro & Company is hiring a Junior Financial Analyst to lead and support contract audit work for Federal Government clients as part of its Audit & Attest practice. The role focuses on audit requests, rate verifications, voucher reviews, adequacy determinations, and contractor accounting system surveys, while maintaining strong client relationships.

What you'll do:

• Manage audit requests and rate verifications
• Perform final voucher reviews
• Prepare Indirect Rate Agreement Letters and Low-Risk Memos
• Perform Incurred Cost Proposal Submission Adequacy Determinations and Contractor Disclosure Statement Adequacy Determinations
• Perform Analyses of Contractor Proposed Provisional Billing Rates
• Prepare and review Pre-Award Surveys of Contractor Accounting Systems
• Maintain strong client focus, be responsive to client requests, and develop/maintain productive working relationships with client personnel

What they're looking for:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related business field from an accredited university
• 1+ years of DCAA contract type audit or compliance experience
• Ability to lead audit tasks and effectively collaborate with team members and clients
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail
• US Citizenship required
• Experience serving Federal Government clients or working in a government audit environment
• Exposure to contract audits
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Interest in mentoring and developing junior audit professionals
• CPA, or eligible to sit for the CPA exam highly preferred
