Junior Financial Analyst

CrossCountry Mortgage, LLC is the nation's number one distributed retail mortgage lender with a strong culture of employee engagement. The Junior Financial Analyst will assist in analyzing branches and satellite offices, providing insights to management while managing the Workday accounting system and collaborating with branch reporting personnel.

What you'll do:

• Learn and understand the CrossCountry Mortgage business model to provide recommendations and insights after data compilation
• Provide Workday administrative support and backup to the Controller and Financial Planning & Analysis team members currently handling certain duties; build out the system, build new reports, and assist with automation projects as identified
• Visually display and summarize discoveries from data analysis in a high-level, clear and concise format/presentation
• Collaborate with Accounting and Branch Reporting personnel to investigate and understand profit and loss statement irregularities
• Enhance current and introduce new reporting and analytics aimed at providing visibility to branches through business intelligence and various metrics
• Analyze data, draw conclusions, and provide recommendations aimed at introducing business and/or financial efficiencies; work with large data sets from disparate systems and use advanced Excel functions where necessary
• Perform ad-hoc reporting, data compilation, and analysis as needed

What they're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or equivalent combination of education/experience required
• Excellent Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, macros, financial modeling, etc.) required
• Excellent attention to detail, communication, and analytical skills required
• Mortgage industry experience preferred, specifically as it relates to software such as Workday, EDGE, and Encompass
