Junior Frontend Designer & Developer

The role focuses on designing and developing responsive, accessible frontend interfaces and intuitive user experiences for advanced visualization products, while collaborating with engineers, scientists, developers, and stakeholders.

What you'll do:

• Build responsive, accessible, high-performance front-end interfaces with exceptional attention to detail
• Develop and implement intuitive user experiences for advanced visualization products to enhance data analysis and decision-making processes
• Partner with developers, engineers, scientists, and stakeholders to align vision and deliver cohesive solutions
• Foster innovation by staying current with emerging technologies and industry best practices

What they're looking for:

• * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Design, or related STEM discipline
• * At least 2 years of experience in frontend design and/or development (post bachelors  completed)
• * Proficiency in TypeScript and modern web frontend frameworks and libraries such as React, Angular, or Vue
• * Demonstrated ability in user research, usability testing, rapid prototyping, and accessibility
• * Proven ability to present complex concepts to diverse audiences, from engineers to executives
• * This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance
• * Master's or Ph.D. in HCI, Computer Science, Design, or Human Factors
• * Experience with rapid prototyping tools and methodologies
• * Proficiency with Blender, Maya, 3DS Max, or equivalent modeling tools
• * Excellent interpersonal skills, including a demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of customers and staff
• * Experience building and maintaining large-scale design systems
• * Previous experience working with aerospace or defense industry clients
