About this role
Flexi Software is hiring a junior full-stack engineer to build and deliver its next-generation platform for financial institutions. The role spans C# services, modern web front ends, SQL Server, AI-assisted development, and limited work on legacy Windows desktop solutions.
What you'll do:
- Build, test, and deliver full-stack features for Flexi's next-generation platform, working across C# back-end services and APIs and Node.js, React, and Next.js front ends
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code, including unit and integration tests, as part of every change you ship
- Work with Microsoft SQL Server: write queries and stored procedures, design tables, and learn to tune for application and database performance
- Use AI coding assistants and agentic workflows daily across design, coding, code review, testing, and documentation, and learn to direct them effectively
- Review and verify AI-generated code with care, owning correctness, security, and quality for everything you commit
- Take part in code reviews, both giving and receiving feedback, to build skill and uphold team standards
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release practices so changes move to production safely and often
- Build with the security, reliability, and data integrity expected of enterprise financial software, including input validation, error handling, and audit-friendly design
- Investigate and resolve defects, tracing issues across the front end, services, and database
- Write and maintain technical documentation, including API documentation and developer notes
- Partner with Product, QA, and senior engineers to turn requirements into shipped customer-facing software
- Contribute on a limited basis to Flexi's legacy Windows desktop solutions in C++ and C#, while next-generation web platform delivery remains your primary focus, and learn how the new platform integrates with these existing products and our DevOps environment
What they're looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field — or equivalent practical experience, such as a bootcamp, internship, or substantial project work
- 0–3 years of professional software development experience; internships and strong personal or academic projects count
- Working knowledge of C# and the .NET platform, including object-oriented programming fundamentals, and a willingness to work in legacy C++ and C# Windows desktop code on a limited basis
- Working knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, and CSS, with hands-on experience building applications in React
- Experience or coursework with Node.js and Next.js, including routing, server-side rendering, and API routes
- Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL, with exposure to Microsoft SQL Server preferred
- Familiarity with building and consuming REST APIs
- Experience with Git and a collaborative, pull-request-based workflow
- Active, hands-on use of AI coding assistants and agentic tools in your own work, with a clear sense of when to trust their output and when to question it
- A solid grasp of software testing fundamentals, including writing unit tests
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to ask good questions and take feedback well
Benefits:
- Paid holidays and paid time off
- 401(k) Plan with company match
- Health and dental insurance
- Life and disability insurance
- Vision discount plan
- Hybrid work arrangement (Atlanta, GA area only)
- Mentorship, pairing, and regular feedback
