Junior Manufacturing Software Engineer

Veolia Water Technologies & Solutions is a global provider of water recovery, treatment, reuse, and monitoring technologies. The Junior Manufacturing Software Engineer will develop, maintain, and support manufacturing software, reports, databases, and MES systems, while improving data collection, process visualization, quality control, and production efficiency. The role also involves troubleshooting software, workstations, and network issues on the production floor and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

What you'll do:

• Create and maintain software applications and databases that support manufacturing in a variety of languages VC++, C#, Java, Python, MySQL, Tableau
• Oversee the day-to-day administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance, and ongoing support of the MES system
• Create documentation for software usage, maintenance, and other requirements
• Work closely with management, engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to design and develop intuitive custom applications to reduce downtime, maintain regulatory compliance, and improve productivity
• Create and execute advanced SQL queries to produce process metrics, reports, and live dashboards
• Liaison for manufacturing and Corporate IT for project implementation

What they're looking for:

• * Bachelor's degree in software engineering, Information Technology, or relevant degree
• * Minimum 2 years of programming experience, preferably at least 1 year of programming experience in a manufacturing environment
• * Must be able to sit or stand at a workstation or work cell for the duration of a full work shift
• * Occasionally required to lift to 40 pounds

• * Experience supporting manufacturing operations
• * Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio
• * Experience with VS Code
• * Experience with VC++, C#, Python
• * Experience with RDBMS such as MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc
• * Experience with SAP and Tableau
• * Experience with development process tools such as Git, GitHub, GitLab and Jira
