Junior Options Trader

Flowdesk is hiring a Junior Options Trader for its OTC Derivatives desk, which runs crypto derivatives trading. The role supports day-to-day options book management, including monitoring exposures, executing hedges, quoting clients, tracking P&L, and improving trading tools with quant and engineering teams.

What you'll do:

• Manage and hedge the options book in real time, monitoring delta, gamma, vega, and theta exposures within agreed risk limits
• Price and quote options for OTC clients and on exchange venues, ensuring competitive and risk-aware spreads
• Execute hedging and rebalancing trades across spot, perpetuals, futures, and options
• Monitor and report daily P&L, attributing performance to Greeks, volatility moves, and flow
• Track volatility surfaces, skew, and term structure, flagging dislocations and trading opportunities to the desk
• Work with the Quant and Engineering teams to test, refine, and automate pricing, hedging, and risk tools
• Follow internal risk controls and compliance procedures, escalating limit breaches and operational issues promptly
• Contribute market insights and analysis that inform desk strategy and new product ideas

What they're looking for:

• 1 to 3 years of trading experience at a trading firm, bank, market maker, or hedge fund
• Strong grasp of options pricing theory, Greeks, volatility dynamics, and hedging techniques
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with confidence working with data under time pressure
• Working proficiency in Python or a similar language for analysis and tooling
• Fluency in English
• Calm and disciplined under pressure, with sound judgement when markets move fast
• Takes ownership of risk and outcomes, and escalates early rather than late
• Curious about markets and keen to learn from senior traders and quants
• Detail-oriented and rigorous with numbers, limits, and process
• Collaborative, communicating clearly with trading, quant, engineering, and risk teams
• Comfortable in a fast-moving, evolving environment where processes are still being built
• Experience trading derivatives
