About this role

TMG Property Management Services NW is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Property Accountant to support accounting functions for a portfolio of client-owned multifamily properties. The role involves preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, processing payments and invoices, supporting receivables, maintaining records, and eventually managing full-cycle accounting for a dedicated property portfolio.

What you'll do:

  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of monthly financial statements
  • Complete monthly bank reconciliations for assigned accounts
  • Review and process resident move-outs in accordance with applicable requirements
  • Prepare move-out refunds and related correspondence
  • Review and verify invoices and check requests for accuracy
  • Process electronic payments and accounts payable checks
  • Support accounts receivable activities
  • Assist with annual 1099 preparation, mailing, and filing
  • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
  • Communicate professionally with clients, residents, vendors, and internal team members
  • Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis and accounting projects
  • As you become fully trained, manage full-cycle accounting for a dedicated portfolio of properties
