About this role
Evans General Contractors is seeking a Junior Recruiter to support company-wide talent acquisition efforts for technical and corporate positions. The role sources and screens candidates, coordinates interviews, maintains recruiting documentation and systems, supports employer branding, and assists with compliance requirements.
What you'll do:
- Support the Human Resources Team by assisting with all phases of the recruitment process
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop candidate profiles for open positions under the direction of the Senior Recruiter
- Ensure a seamless recruitment experience and consistent communication
- Publish job openings on approved platforms, including the company website and social media channels
- Utilize Evans’ applicant tracking system to monitor open requisitions and candidate progress
- Screen incoming resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates for further evaluation
- Conduct reference checks and verify candidate credentials in alignment with Evans’ standards
- Perform initial phone interviews as required
- Coordinate interviews and communicate with candidates throughout the recruitment process
- Maintain and organize the candidate database to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
- Assist with Federal Contractor compliance
- Ensure compliance with federal contractor requirements during the recruitment process
What they're looking for:
- • Experience in recruiting or talent acquisition, preferably in a construction or related industry
- • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and HR technologies
- • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- • Demonstrated interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- • Ability to analyze information and exercise sound judgment
- • Experience conducting interviews via phone and video conferencing platforms
- • Effective decision-making and problem-solving capabilities
- • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or related field, preferred
