Junior Staff Accountant

CFS is a nonprofit organization seeking a detail-oriented Junior Staff Accountant to support an exciting accounting software implementation project. The role involves assisting with data entry, maintaining financial records, and supporting the accounting team during the transition.

What you'll do:

• Assist with the implementation of a new accounting software system by entering and validating financial data
• Perform high-volume, accurate data entry of accounting and financial records
• Review information for completeness and accuracy before importing into the new system
• Organize, update, and maintain financial records and supporting documentation
• Work with Excel to update spreadsheets, track information, and reconcile data
• Support the accounting team with day-to-day administrative and accounting tasks
• Help ensure a smooth transition during this important organizational project

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Comfortable working with computers, spreadsheets, and repetitive data entry tasks
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Positive attitude, dependable work ethic, and eagerness to learn
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or currently pursuing an accounting degree
• Previous accounting, bookkeeping, or data entry experience
