Junior Trader - Fixed Income

DV Trading is an independent proprietary trading firm that provides liquidity to global financial markets and hedging opportunities. The company is seeking a Junior Trader to support relative value trading across fixed income and related markets, evaluate opportunities, monitor risk and market conditions, assist with execution and portfolio analysis, and develop tools to support trading decisions.

What you'll do:

• Support relative value trading activity across fixed income and related markets
• Help identify and evaluate relative value opportunities
• Monitor market conditions, liquidity, positioning, and macroeconomic developments
• Assist with trade execution, risk monitoring, and portfolio analysis
• Work closely with senior traders, research, risk, and operations teams
• Build and maintain tools, reports, and models to support trading decisions
• Stay engaged with markets throughout the day and be prepared to work long hours when conditions require it

What they're looking for:

• Experience on a relative value trading desk, 6 months minimum
• Strong work ethic, discipline, and willingness to grind through details
• Ability to learn quickly, take feedback, and improve through repetition
• Strong attention to detail and sound judgment under pressure
• Comfortable working in a demanding, performance-driven trading environment
• Must be willing to relocate to the Chicago area
• Must be able to work onsite at our Northfield office for a minimum of two years
• Takes ownership of outcomes and does not need constant hand-holding
• Is curious about markets and willing to do the daily work required to build edge
• Can handle pressure, uncertainty, and direct feedback
• Cares about precision, risk, and process
