Duties

Perform heavy physical labor requiring the frequent lifting and carrying of items weighing 80 to 100 pounds or more.,Performs general maintenance of NAF facilities requiring use of heavy powered equipment and heavy tools. Tasks may include digging ditches, cutting trees using axes and chain saws, and lawn maintenance on grades and slopes.,Resets nails, replaces hardware, relocate playgrounds, flowerbeds and portable structures,Advises facility director of potential safety hazards and identifies repairs required.,Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess the following: Six (6) month of laboring experience required. Must be able to work under general supervision, responding to initial oral or written instructions and completing assigned tasks. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Allowances and Differentials This job falls under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system. FWS employees earn overtime pay for working more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in a week -- whichever gives the employee more benefit. Regular full-time, regular part-time, and regularly scheduled flexible employees may receive Sunday premium pay for working on Sundays. Employees may also be eligible to receive extra pay if the majority of their scheduled hours falls after 3:00 PM.
