About this role
The person in this role is responsible for coordinating laptop donations and serving as the primary point of contact for individuals, businesses, and organizations interested in donating laptops. This role will work closely with laptop donation partners to coordinate donations and connect donors with the appropriate partner. The Laptop Donation Specialist will also assist with outreach and communications to increase awareness of the need for donated laptops.
This position reports to the Director of Technology Operations and serves as a central point of contact for laptop donation inquiries. The Specialist will communicate with potential donors, coordinate with donation partners, track donation opportunities, and help ensure that donors have a simple and consistent experience throughout the donation process.
Working closely with BYU-Pathway Worldwide and laptop donation partners, the goal of this position is to make the laptop donation process simple, organized, and accessible while helping increase the number of laptops available to support students.
This part-time position typically works Monday – Friday between the hours of 8 am - 5 pm. This position is a hybrid position.

Responsibilities
1. Laptop Donation Coordination:
- Serve as the primary contact for individuals, businesses, and organizations interested in donating laptops.
- Respond to laptop donation inquiries and provide information about the donation process.
- Coordinate with laptop donation partners to determine the appropriate partner for each donation.
- Connect donors with the appropriate laptop donation partner and coordinate next steps.
Maintain communication with donors and partners throughout the donation process.
2. Donor and Partner Relations:
- Build and maintain positive relationships with donors and laptop donation partners.
- Follow up with donors and partners in a timely and professional manner.
- Help establish a simple and consistent process for donors to connect with the appropriate partner.
Maintain accurate records of donors, partners, inquiries, and donation opportunities.
3. Outreach and Communications:
- Assist with creating flyers, emails, website content, and other materials to promote laptop donations.
- Help communicate the need for donated laptops to potential donors and community organizations.
Assist with outreach efforts to identify new potential donors and donation partners.
4. Tracking and Reporting:
- Track laptop donation inquiries and donation activities.
- Maintain organized records related to donors and donation partners.
- Provide updates and reports as requested.
- Identify opportunities to improve the donation process.
5. General Support:
- Assist with other laptop donation-related projects and activities as needed.
- Provide other miscellaneous support as assigned.
Qualifications
Skills

Knowledge

Marketing and Outreach: Familiarity with creating or distributing communications, flyers, websites, or other outreach materials is a plus.

Additional Information
This position does not directly receive or process donated laptops. The Laptop Donation Specialist serves as the central contact who coordinates with laptop donation partners and connects donors with the appropriate organization.
