Laundry Attendant - Best Western Plus Shoreview

1st Shift - Start time is 8am weekdays, and 9am on weekends. Duties & Responsibilities • Operate commercial washers, and dryers to clean linens, towels, and uniforms. • Inspect items for stains, tears, or wear, and treat or report them as needed. • Fold, stack, and store clean items in an organized manner for easy access by the housekeeping team. • Perform a variety of houseman duties such as stripping linens, along with sweeping, mopping, dusting and emptying trash if necessary • Maintain cleanliness and safety in the laundry area, following all hotel and safety guidelines. • • Notify superiors of any damage, deficits, and disturbances. • Check stocking levels of all consumables and replace when appropriate. • Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related practices. • Strip linens for rooms, make up beds or change linens (if needed) Experience, Skills, and Education • Proven experience as a laundry attendant, professional cleaner or housekeeper (recommended but not needed) • Ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance. • Physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel. stoop and bend. • Customer-oriented and friendly. • Prioritization and time management skills. • Working quickly without compromising quality. • Knowledge of English language. • High school degree preferred. • Ability to lift up to 25-50 pounds.
